Pedero was the first company in North America to exclusively use poly-urethane foam for trench breakers. Being the pioneer meant creating an entire industry from the ground up. This was accomplished by proving to engineering firms and Oil and gas companies that the benefits of using foam were too great to ignore. It was not an easy task, yet was accomplished with great success and Pedero has made the industry what it is today. Yes we do have competitors in the pipeline business now, but with 30 years more experience and knowhow Pedero has no peers.

Trial and tribulation are part of any new business and three decades ago Pedero made a commitment to excellence. We engineered our own chemical, we designed and built our own equipment, and we painstakingly trained every operator. Today these same values and procedures are what drive Pedero to still be the only experts in pipeline foam.

Pedero doesn’t do buoyancy control, we don’t do seeding, and we don’t make sandbags. Pedero does pipeline foam, and only pipeline foam to perfection.

Pedero has the only proprietary chemical formula in the Pipeline foam business. We used to make it ourselves and now we outsource and our formula is made by the largest chemical company in the world so we can keep up with the tremendous quantities we spray. Pedero chemical is produced under the strictest ISO regulations thus ensuring our quality goes into every pillow and breaker we spray.

Questions Pedero receives regarding foam vary from foam breaker fires seen on the ROW, to pipe buckling and indications due to foam pillows. Pedero’s answer is simple, NO, breaker fires should never happen, and NO the pipe should never buckle due to foam. Pedero chemical is specifically designed for a low exothermic reaction and high compressive strength to take fires and buckling out of the equation on the jobsite.
